When I’m out riding my road bike, I’m always struck by how much debris—and how many nails—end up in the road. I stop and pick up what I can, especially the nails, for obvious reasons. I tend to approach work the same way: if I see a problem I can fix or an obstacle I can remove, I try to take care of it, right then and right there.
